Carbon price? Feed in tarriff? Direct investment?
What should the climate movement demand?
Public Forum
Sat 16th April, 4-6pm
Perth Activist Centre
15/ 5 Aberdeen St, East Perth
(near McIver Train Station)
Some in the climate movement are adamant that a carbon price is the best way to bring on a transition to renewable energy and others are wary that it will bump up consumer prices while rewarding the big polluters and allowing further fossil fuel investment. Some call for a feed-in-tarriff, some for direct government investment, and some, for a combination of measures.
Recognising the diversity of views within the climate movement, and to promote a respectful discussion of the alternatives, Safe Climate Perth is organising this public forum for all who support action on climate change.
Speakers to be confirmed - check the website for updates.
